Although hes always been based in Kingston upon Thames, he has travelled extensively.<br /> <br />He has operated holidays to the State of Texas where the musical influences of Willie Nelson, through to the hard rocking sounds of ZZ Top excited him enough to learn to play his songs in so many different styles. A visit to Jamaica and a chance wandering onto a Montego Beach concert where he first heard the sounds of reggae and Bob Marley convinced him the lyrics are what matters, no matter in what style of music the song is presented.<br /><br />Recently he has written a Trilogy of original Christian Poetry books and music CDs:<br /><br /><b>Put the CHRIST back into Christmas</b><br /><b>The Shores of Heaven </b> and <br /><b>Beneath Gods Wind. </b><br /><br />A fourth CD, <b>Waiting at the Gates</b>, will be available in Spring 2006.<br /><br />Gerry is giving a series of concerts nationwide featuring his original songs and poetry.
